Ethiopian Remedial Mathematics Support Course

Welcome to the Ethiopian Remedial Mathematics Support Course. This course can be used by any Ethiopian university to help their remedial students prepare for their upcoming mathematics exam. The course is completely free of charge.
About this course
This course is the product of a long-term partnership between Bahir Dar University, INNODEMS and IDEMS and their common goal of furthering education opportunities and outcomes in Ethiopia.

Content of the course
The course contains a selection of quizzes for each topic in the remedial exam. The questions are designed to give students automatic immediate feedback on their attempts to help them prepare as well as possible for their exam. Both Social Science and Natural Science strands are included.
Note: Content is under ongoing development and new chapters are released on a weekly basis, with the first few chapters fully available.
Information for Universities
All Ethiopian universities can use this course. If your university is not yet registered and you would like your students to start using the course please contact IDEMS who will provide instructions.
Anonymous accounts
For data protection, all student accounts will be anonymised so that no personal student data is held in the system. Participating universities are expected to provide minimal staff information.
Data Usage
Data on student engagement and performance will be used for ongoing improvements and for academic research purposes. If you have any concerns about this please feel free to contact IDEMS.

New Universities
If you don’t think your university is registered in the course, please ask your lecturer to contact IDEMS to register so you can access the course. If your university is not in a position to do this, it may be possible to create an independent account and you can contact IDEMS to consider this option.
